Emily is first and foremost a SOUTHERN BELLE!!!!! Since being born in
Thomasville, Georgia to her mother Debbie and the late Judge Jeff
Loftiss, Emily knew she wanted to be the center of attention.
Emily moved to Manhattan after finishing her bachelor's degree in
Choreography and Performance and minoring in Theater from the
University of Alabama. She has been working as a television host,
professional dancer, singer, choreographer and model while living in
New York City.
On television, she has appeared twice on The Late Show with David
Letterman as a featured dancer, CBS's Vh1 Fashion Rocks with Nelly
and Pharrel, CMT Top 20 Countdown, and was a Quarter finalist on
MTV's WADE ROBSON PROJECT. She has danced on network
commercials, and appeared in print work (including Vogue and
Southern Living) and various industrials.
In theater, Emily has toured with Broadway's First National Tour of
DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS under the direction of Tony winners Jack
O'Brien and Jerry Mitchell. Additionally, Emily completed her second
season with RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR where she was a
Rockette.
While working at theaters across the country, Ms. Loftiss' favorite shows
includes: Bombalurina in CATS at Maine State Music Theater in
Brunswick, Maine and Carousel Dinner Theater in Akron, Ohio. Consuelo
in WEST SIDE STORY at Pioneer Theater in Salt Lake, Utah and
Conchita Alvarez in COPACABANA at Mill Mountain Theater in Roanoke,
VA.
Emily's choreography work includes preliminary and state level talent in
the Miss America Program as well as customized performances
(Comedian Lisa Lampanelli's One Night Only at Radio City). She has
also received national recognition for her solo choreography, winning
the Best Overall at the Panoply Arts Festival, which celebrated its 28th
anniversary in 2009. Emily also helped found and actively maintains a
consultancy business, COMPETITIVE EDGE, where she trains and
mentors contestants in all aspects of pageant preparation.
Emily stays busy teaching Masterclasses across the U.S. and
Internationally. She is currently working on her Televsion
Hosting/Theater/Commercial career in New York and Los Angeles.
